We use a play-based curriculum to help teach your child the skills they need to succeed when they start at school.
We focus on the dispositions that set a child up for lifelong learning (e.g. problem solving, perseverance, resilience, curiosity, social and emotional intelligence). We also incorporate early literacy and numeracy into our programme along with practical skills like looking after your own gear, using scissors, and learning to recognise and write their own name.
We include short, fun and engaging mat-times in our programme. These also help children learn to sit and work together in a larger (school like) group environment. Through these times they grow in confidence to listen, ask and answer questions, follow instructions, and wait their turn — just like they would in a school setting.
