The Piwakawaka room is for infants starting from 3 months. The room has lots of space to accommodate for the developmental stages of rolling, crawling and walking. The environment is designed to help the children explore and develop at their own pace. We work alongside parents and whanau to help build consistent routines so it is an easy transition from home to Small Fries. We have a wonderful team of teachers who provide love, respect and quality care for all who come through our doors.
Hi, my name is Mihee and I am a teacher in the Pipi room, I am originally from South Korea. I have been working at Small Fries since May 2015 and am pleased to be a part of the family.
I have been working with children for several years. I completed my Graduate Diploma in ECE Teaching and am a full registered teacher. I love working and learning with children, I am passionate about realising the uniqueness of each child, stimulating and supporting the children to extend their ideas. I am also passionate about teaching children with Christian world view.
When I am not working, I love spending time with family and friends and travelling around.
Hi, my name is Emma,
I live on the stunning Hibiscus Coast with my husband. We have 3 adult-children. I am passionate about quality care and education for children and this has driven me to pursue a variety of roles within the context of early childhood education, including lecturing in ece, centre management and home-based childcare. Most recently my passion led my husband and I into fostering, and over a period of 6 years we were privileged to share God's love with more than 60 children/youth within the foster care system.
I am excited to be returning to the classroom, and especially to be working in a centre that promotes quality care and education. I am delighted to also be part of a Christian team that engages with and supports the community.

Hi, My name is Dani.
I was born in New Zealand but growing up I lived in Thailand with my family. They worked closely along side orphanages in central and northern parts of Thailand as well as in China. I became so passionate about children and wanting to care for them, and in such a way they know they are safe and loved and that they have such a significant place in this world.
I strongly believe in collaborative, reciprocal, respectful relationships alongside children and their whanau and families and believe that in a calm loving environment children are encouraged and empowered to grow and learn at their own pace. I studied a Bachelor of Education specialising in Early Childhood and have now worked alongside infants and toddlers for over 3 years.
My name is Cecilia Ho. I am from Taiwan and moved to New Zealand in 1996. I graduated from AUT with bachelor of Spatial Design degree; and started my career in early childhood education for five more years while I lived and worked in Australia. I also completed my study of Certificate in Children's Services for the role that I have been teaching as an assistant there. I enjoy work with children so much. I have got experience with all age groups of children. I am looking forward to getting to know all the children and families in Small Fries and work alongside them in the future.
