Our Structure

Our classrooms are fun-filled and create opportunities for all childcare to explore,  develop and thrive. Our curriculum is child centered, with learning experiences created in response to children's interest.  Through acknowledging and supporting children's interests the foundation is built for a life long love of learning.

We have five classrooms and group the children according to age.

(In order to keep class sizes small we have a larger number of them than you may see at other Centres).

Meet our office Team

  • shelley  |  centre manager

Kia ora, I am Shelley. I grew up in Cromwell in the South Island but have been in Auckland for over 13 years now.  My passion is developing a childcare centre with a heart for children, families and the wider community. This is so different from an ordinary business—it's about something bigger than just ourselves. Small Fries is a marvelous outworking of God's plan and purposes and I love being part of it. I am married to Jeremy who is my loving support and we are proud parents of a gorgeous girl, Brooke, and beautiful son, Cody. When I'm not working I love spending time with my family and friends.

  • Debbie  |  administrator

Hi, my name is Debbie. I worked for Windsor Park Baptist Church for 12 years as the Senior Pastor's PA, and soon after Small Fries opened I transferred across to become the administrator/receptionist. I am married to John and have two adult sons and a delightful grandson. I enjoy watching sports and spending time with my family out on our boat cruising the Hauraki Gulf visiting our favourite fishing spots. I love interacting with all our Small Fries families every day.

  • ISABEL  |  ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

Hi I'm Isabel.  I was born and raised in South Africa and moved to New Zealand in 2014 with my husband and 2 children.  I have been relieving at Small Fries since 2015 and have worked throughout the centre in all the age groups, as well as in the kitchen, and now I am working full time in administration.

  • Tammy |  cook

Hi, I'm Tammy the cook at Small Fries. Our family has recently immigrated from South Africa. I am fortunate to be able to cook for these wonderful children. Cooking has been a part of my life. I am a qualified Home Economics teacher and later adding Hospitality to the 'pot'. It is interesting putting all my teaching skills into practice and I am loving every minute of being part of the Small Fries Family.
